Class - Hummingbird Thunder Drum

In this exciting new class you will learn a variety of new techniques. Using GourdMaster Stick n Burn, you will be placing your image onto your gourd and with a pointed burr you will learn how to create even and smooth cut-outs. You will also learn how to create a dreamcatcher with wax linen thread. Plus you will learn all the tricks and tips on creating a beautiful and realistic sound thunder gourd drum. You will also learn how to create a beautiful copper metallic sponge effect over your inks.

Required Materials:  Rotary Tool such as the GourdMaster Pro Carver II a 120 Pointed Burr or a Flame Burr, a face mask or respirator and gloves.

Materials Provided: Gourd is provided by The Welburn Gourd Farm free of charge the insctructor will have the gourd pre-cut and craft ready. The instructor will also provide for each student an instruction handout with pattern, dyes and paints, wax linen thread and all the materials needed for creating the drum such as the goat hide and etc.
