These fun 5" to 7" diameter gourds actually grow in a shape of an apple! Paint them red, add a leaf design, and you have a perfect, ever-lasting home accent. Apple gourds have a shell that is denser than most gourds, which means they are extremely durable, plus they will polish to a higher sheen. The dense shell is harder, so when cutting, go slowly to avoid breaking saw blades. Ink Dyes and Wax will absorb a bit less than a regular gourd. (use a heat tool to help wax soak in).
