Now you can learn the basics of gourd crafting for FREE!

The Welburn Gourd Farm offers a FREE Gourd Crafting Workshop every Second Saturday of the Month from 11:00 am to 1:00pm!!! (or until 2:00 pm if you elect to create your own project).

You'll learn all the basics of gourd crafting including:

 

simple washing and cleaning methods the best tools for cutting gourds important safety measures for gourd dust the best tools for cleaning the interior of gourds popular carving techniques using a Gourd drill (like a Dremel™ tool) easy ways to repair cracks Where to find great designs for your gourds and how to transfer them to your gourd surface Woodburning tools and how to choose what's right for you leather dyes vs. ink dyes how to make uneven gourds stand straight Tips and tricks for using GourdMaster™ products, including Pigment Powder, Gel Glaze, Ink Dye, Gourd Varnish, and more!

The Workshops are a perfect way to make new friends, learn great gourd techniques, and just have fun playing with gourds in a relaxed country setting. Best of all, the Workshops are FREE!

The live demonstration takes place from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, then YOU get to try out all the products and tools for yourself using sample pieces of gourds (12:00 pm to 1:00 pm), and if you'd like to create a full project with the gourd of your choice, the cost is just $10.00 (project time is from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm)! (Must be 12 years or older to participate).
